How we prepare taxes ?

In US, here is how people likely to prepare for their 2005 federal income taxes:
1) 60% people use professional helps, like H&R Block;
2) 20% people use software such as Turbo Tax;
3) 20% people still use pencil & paper.
80% of Americans think the tax code is too complex. More people complained about the complexity of doing their taxes than about how much they had to pay.

You should do a pole of Americans to see how many bloggers fit the stats.

Huh, that sounds hard. In Finland (and in Denmark) we just get ready filled tax form and we just need to check if the data is correct. If it's ok, we don't need to do anything (and most of the cases the form is ok) to it. If there is some wrong information or we need to add something, we just fill the fields and send the form back. Almost no-one (private person) uses any other help than pencil and paper to do the taxes..
